SOOOO much fun with our girl Jenn at the Asbury Park Dog Beach for this beautiful session. This was a super windy one, but we managed to get some amazing portraits of these two!

We first met Jenn at our boudoir marathon back in May of 2022. We hit it it off and knew she was such a genuine, sweet soul. Since then, we’ve done two other photo sessions for her and try to incorporate her dog Cali in any way we can. When she had the idea to go to the beach for this family session we had to jump on the opportunity. Some clients just become like family and Jenn is definitely one of those people

Sweet Ellie!

Matt & Briana were one of our 2020 couples. They had a beautiful backyard wedding during the height of COVID 19. So grateful to be back capturing their little family. When we saw Ellie’s nursery, we knew we had to incorperate the hand painted, space theme mural by her mom. What makes this room even more special, is that it used to be the room her father grew up in when he was younger. This session was truly a full circle moment. So grateful to capture these two and their little babe. Congratulations!

Another photographer told us while we were doing this session that Natalie has a certain old money look to her. A look filled with excellence and class. We couldn’t agree more. It was so nice to do this grad session for this sweet soul. She took our ideas and ran with them, executing them perfectly. She is off to Arizona to accomplish BIG things!! Look out for this one!

So happy for all these grads and grateful to have captured one of their last times on campus :)

This grad session was perfect from start to finish!!

Mel’s session was full of our favorite glowy sunlight, smiles, and some appearances from her boyfriend Justin. They are so adorable & such a fun time to photograph. Congratulations to these two on their huge accomplishment!

It would be hard to believe that just 30 minutes before this session there was big heavy thunderstorm clouds. We did not let the possibility of rain stop Mackenzie’s grad session at SJU! We met this sweet soul at on a Sunday evening to capture her portraits for graduating with her master’s degree. She noted that she wanted to surprise her family, most notably her mom with this sweet gift.

We found some sweet spots on campus with extra-glowy light to capture some beautiful portraits. We walked around and chatted about how she is a future bridesmaid in one of of 2024 weddings!

On todays blog we are going to address a huge question that many people often ask us…. what is boudoir photography?

Boudoir photography combines elements of portrait and fashion photography. Boudoir photo sessions are meant to be intimate and honor ones body and sexuality. Typically, women have these done but men can do them as well.

Boudoir sessions can be intimidating for the average person who has never been behind the camera. Anyone can do boudoir. You don’t have to be a model, confident, or be the “perfect size.” Most people who book a session feel nervous, but open up and feel more confident after the first 15 minutes. We will plan locations, outfits, and poses with you. There is nothing that you need to worry about! The session is there to celebrate you as you are right now.

Here are some common misconceptions about boudoir sessions:

It’s just “slutty” sexy photos

While the majority of boudoir is about taking photos of your body and making it look freaking amazing, it’s not just that. All of the boudoir photos that we take are classy! The main goal of these sessions is for you to leave more confident than before. We want you to leave your session loving yourself and your body. Our main way of doing this is through classy, timeless, boudoir photos that celebrate you.

Boudoir sessions are too expensive

Boudoir sessions like any photo session, are an investment. Boudoir sessions typically involve a hair and makeup artist, studio, and other fees for the photographer. This experience is all about the end product, your photos. The more you invest into your photographer and their work, the more you will get out of your boudoir experience. At the end of your boudoir experience you will feel more confident and the investment will definitely be worth it.

Only people with “beautiful bodies” can do boudoir

Beautiful is such a subjective term. Boudoir is truly for everyone. Doing a boudoir session will allow you to begin to love the you that you are right now. Stop waiting to lose the weight, chop the hair, or hide any other part of you. Embrace who you are and let’s get to work!

We met the Schapire family at Ridley Creek State Park for some updated family photos this past fall. They were all so sweet and inviting! We even got to meet their newest addition to the family! We got some amazing glow from the late November sunset — making this space and them, shine!!

James & Maddy are couples that you just connect with right away.

These two met on West Chester University’s campus a few years ago during their time in undergrad. Now, they’re engaged and enjoying their engagement. We took a trip down memory lane while they were in town for the holidays for their engagement session.

We first started out the session at West Chester’s campus — where we of course had to take a picture in front of the Ram statue! We then headed into town where we took photos all around at different spots. The town Christmas tree was up for the holidays so we had to include that in some of the photos! We went to their favorite bar from when they were in college — The Saloon. We ended the session with some rooftop garage golden hour portraits.

James & Maddy were seriously one of the most easy-going and fun couples we’ve photographed. Following them around for an afternoon with a camera was so much fun and their photos are something out of a Hallmark Christmas Movie!

We can’t wait to celebrate with them at the Manor House at Commonwealth in 2024!

This sweet family….

At the beginning of November, we got the opportunity to photograph a very special family. We got to do an extended family session for Nicole, her kids, her brother, his family, and her parents. Her parents even drove all the way up from North Carolina for the session!

Rose used to watch Lizzie, Josh, Becca, and Sarah when they were younger at daycare. Now they’re all grown up and there have been some new additions. We have photographed Lizzie and her little family for the past year during her pregnancy, but finally got to meet baby Bo!

We started bright and early at 8 AM and got that fall sunrise glow!!

A calendar for a cause 💜

This project with Bonedaddystattoo & Hope for Hallie is probably our favorite that we have ever done.

Hope for Hallie is a nonprofit organization that honors the life of Hallie Jackson and provides support and resources to children and families coping with mental illness.

Jeff & Tori… you two are something special.

From the moment we met with these two at their engagement session, they radiated true love. Their authenticity and down-to-earth vibes shined through from our Red Truck Mini engagement session to their wedding day.

The day started off beautifully in the bridal suite with the girls where Tori anxiously anticipated seeing Jeff. Once he saw her walking down the aisle, his eyes lit up and a smile beamed across his face. It is truly one of the most beautiful moments to capture.

Every detail from their wedding was carefully cultivated. From their ceremony decor to their reception details, and their wonderful chocolate indulgence room provided by The Downingtown Country Club.

We could go on and on about this amazingly intimate day, but we feel incredibly lucky to have been such an integral part of it. Enjoy the photos of their day.

We met with Doug & Kiera at Valley Forge for their fall engagement session and the results couldn’t be more spectacular. These two (and their dog Fritz) absolutely have our hearts. We can’t wait to help these two college sweethearts tie the knot this upcoming January!

This session from this April is near and dear to our hearts!

We’ve known Lizzie since she was little. It’s so great to see the amazing mother that she’s grown up to be. We were so thankful to be able to capture these guys’ last moments as a family of three while also honoring their new baby boy! It was such a good day at Longwood!

The Cahill Family is near and dear to our hearts. Rachel was my 11th-grade English teacher and had a huge impact on me. She was one of the only reasons I looked forward to going to school. So naturally, she couldn’t let me go once I graduated :)

Their little family is the cutest, and their son Jackson holds a special place in both of our hearts. So happy to capture their family and his fifth birthday photos!! Happy birthday to our little buddy!
